How can Shopify Plus merchants track checkout pages?

Once Lucky Orange is installed by a Shopify Plus merchant, they have access to Lucky Orange’s to analyze how people use their store and proceed through the checkout process. This includes accessing Shopify checkout events and accessing Shopify Plus checkout behavior data.

No additional code is needed to begin using your Shopify Plus checkout data. Once you install Lucky Orange on your Shopify Plus store, checkout data will automatically begin to be tracked.

Listed below are the features available to analyze and evaluate your Shopify Plus checkout page and your Shopify Plus store.

How to analyze your Shopify Plus checkout page

Shopify Plus merchants can access the data through the Lucky Orange features listed below.

Discovery
Click on the Discovery button at the top of your app. Available Discovery prompts that may be of interest include:

  • Show me what people who convert on mobile do on my site
  • Show me what people who converted on desktop did on my site
  • Show me what people who converted did on my site

Visitors
Use the filter to find people who visited your store or exited your store on your checkout page (/checkouts).  Combine with duration, visit number, device, location, date and other filters for a more granular view of your visitors. You can then save your filter combination as a Saved Segment which will allow you to use it throughout the app, such as quickly jumping to the Session Recordings you want to watch.

Session recordings
Select a session from Visitors to watch as a customer landing on your store, added items to their cart and proceeded through checkout. You can pause the recording, adjust the playback speed, follow the Events timeline and leave notes.

Visitor Profiles
You can look at a customer’s full experience on your website, even ones that spanned multiple visits, through the Visitor Profile. This is available through Visitors, whether it’s from the table or a Session Recording. Here you can access a plethora of information which includes the Session Recording showing checkout engagement.

Dynamic Heatmaps
Find out where people are clicking, how they engage with your Shopify Plus checkout and how their location, source, device type and more influence their behavior with Dynamic Heatmaps. Each checkout URL is unique to each customer, and you will need to use filters to launch the Dynamic Heatmap for your checkout page. Once opened, the Dynamic Heatmap will combine all of the checkout page URLs to provide an aggregated view of engagement on your checkout page. Click here to learn more.

Form Analytics
Analyze what form fields on your Shopify Plus checkout  have a high abandonment rate, are often repeated, take the longest to complete and more with Form Analytics. As with Dynamic Heatmaps, you will need to use filters to launch Form Analytics for your checkout page because each checkout URL is unique to each customer. Once Form Analytics for the Shopify Plus checkout form is launched, form data will combine all of the checkout page URLs for a combined view of engagement on the checkout form. Learn more here.

Conversion Funnels
