Use Lucky Orange with Shopify: Track Purchases & Adds to Cart in Dashboard
The Dashboard is your mission control center, and you can track all of the Shopify integration Events mentioned here. Most of our Shopify users prefer to track these checkout Events that are preloaded for Shopify merchants:
- Checkout Started
- Checkout Address Info Submitted
- Checkout Shipping Info Submitted
- Payment Information Submitted
- Checkout Contact Info Submitted
- Ordered
Reminder: Shopify's privacy restrictions prevent non-Shopify Plus merchants from viewing Session Recordings or Dynamic Heatmaps of visitors on the checkout page. We have you covered – Lucky Orange provides an alternative method through checkout-specific Events, bolded in the chart above, which allows you to track the visitor's journey throughout the checkout process. To add these to your current Dashboard ( or create a new Dashboard):
- Click on Dashboard from the left navigation if needed
- Select the three dots located in the upper right corner of the page
- Click Add a Card
- Select Events from the list provided
- Choose your desired size. This will give you a preview image on the right.
- Click Save when ready
- This new dashcard will automatically populate at the bottom of the Dashboard. Drag and drop it to the desired position on the page.
- Click the Select Event dropdown to search for or scroll to the desired Event to track
- Repeat the process for additional Event dashcards to monitor additional Events

Additional dashcards to consider:
- If you’re running Surveys, add in the Surveys dashcard to monitor visitor feedback.
- If you’re using Chat, add in the Chat Ratings dashcard and Daily Chat Trends dashcard to keep an eye on visitor satisfaction and trends.
