How to use our Optimizely integration
With the Optimizely integration connected, you can now review A/B experiments and versions within Lucky Orange including from Visitors, Analytics and Communicate.
Note: Optimizely interactions will automatically trigger the A/B Testing Experiment Detected event which was added once the integration was connected. We recommend marking this new event as a Key Even t following these instructions. This will allow you to track this from the table within Visitors as well if you add the Key Events column.
Visitors
Use one of the following methods to isolate which visitor sessions you want to watch.
At a glance: Once the Key Events column has been added to your table and the A/B Testing Experiment Detected Event marked as Key Event (see note above), you can see instantly which visitors saw an experiment.
Filter down: Click on Filters to select the A/B Testing filter. From here, you can select specific experiment IDs and variation IDs to focus on specific tests. If the variation ID wasn’t included in the selected experiment ID, the variation ID will show a 0.
Not sure what your experiment or variation ID is? Click here to learn how to find it in Optimizely.
Tip: Save the combination as a Segment by clicking on the Save Segment button located to the left of the Done button. This will allow you to use it to trigger Announcements, Surveys and Chat Invites.
Heatmaps
Click on Analytics from the left navigation to see a list of pages with available data. Open the Heatmap of your desired page.
Use the A/B Tests icon on the top navigation, located to the right of Device, to open up the Experiment and Variation dropdowns. The Heatmap will update to show data from the experiment or variation. Click here to learn more about Heatmaps.
Conversion Funnels
Use Conversion Funnels to watch where people left your website based on the funnel path you set. We recommend using the A/B Testing Experiment Detected Event as the second step. This will help you evaluate A/B experiments on the page of step 1. This includes experiment-level steps but excludes variation-level steps.
