Introduction to Elements
In this article:
What are Elements?
Elements in Lucky Orange are the individual components of your website that users interact with. These include buttons, navigation menus, images, forms or any clickable or visible section on your page that can be identified and tracked.
Examples of Common Elements:
- Call-to-Action (CTA) buttons
- Navigation menus (e.g., hamburger menu)
- Product order drop-downs (e.g., sizing options)
- Product images
- Banners
By monitoring how visitors interact with these elements, you gain actionable insights to optimize what works and address what doesn’t.

With these filters, the data dynamically updates showing the number of clicks and engagement levels for each element based on your criteria.
How to Use Elements
Lucky Orange gives you the tools to monitor your most engaged elements, watch session recordings and save interactions as Key Events to enable smarter decision-making.
Understand Your Most Engaged Elements
The Elements table displays critical insights, including:
- Popularity Rank: Based on the selected date range (default is "today").
- Element Title: This could be specific (e.g., cta-button-123) or descriptive (e.g., Refund Policy).
- Element Type: Identifying details such as “text” or “link.”
- Engagement Levels: See which elements attract the most attention or are overlooked.
Watch Session Recordings
Gain deeper insights by watching session recordings of visitors interacting with specific elements. Simply click “Watch Sessions” next to an element to see how the last visitor engaged with it and the rest of your website.

The Event timeline updates in real-time giving you a complete view of their journey as the recording plays or the interact in real-time.
Note: The "Element Clicked" event will trigger whenever any element is clicked, not just the specific one you selected, unless it has been previously designated as a Key Event.
Save Interactions as Key Events
You can use Lucky Orange’s Action Menu to save any interaction with an Element as a Key Event:
Key Events let you:
- Track performance milestones for deeper analysis.
- Enhance marketing strategies by targeting users with tailored messages via Surveys, Announcements or Chat Invites.
For example, if users interact with an out-of-stock size option, you can trigger an Announcement inviting them to join a waitlist or showcasing available alternatives.
