How to install in Shopify

There are two ways to install Lucky Orange in Shopify: Automatically and manually. 

Automatic installation (merchant-preferred method) 

  1. Log into your Shopify store if you haven’t already 
  2. Visit the Lucky Orange app in the Shopify App Store
  3. Click the Add App button
  4. The app will automatically install the tracking code on all pages of your Shopify store

That’s it! You’re set. 

Manual installation 

  1. Copy your Lucky Orange tracking code; click here for more information on finding your store’s unique tracking code.
  2. Log into your Shopify store
  3. Click on Online Store under Sales Channels from the main navigation
  4. Select Themes; your current theme will be displayed. 
  5. Click on the Actions drop-down, located by the Customize button
  6. Select Edit Code
  7. Click on theme.liquid under Layout
  8. Find the </head> tag; this will be near the bottom of the page. Helpful tip: You can do this by scrolling or be searching for it. To execute a search, click within the code. Use CTRL+F (PC) or Command+F (Mac) to search for /head. 
  9. Paste the Lucky Orange tracking code just before this tag
  10.  Click the gray Save button

With manual installation, you’ll also need to place the tracking code on the order status/confirmation page

  1. Copy your Lucky Orange tracking code if you haven’t yet copied it
  2. Log into your Shopify store 
  3. Click on Settings at the bottom of the left navigation
  4. Select Checkout from the list on the left
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page to “Order Status Page”
  6. Paste the Lucky Orange tracking code in this space
  7. Click the Save button 

Using the Lucky Orange app plugin through the Shopify App Store will automatically add the tracking code to your order status or confirmation page. Manual installation will require this additional step to add the code. This does not track through the checkout pages unless you are on Shopify Plus.
