Discovery Visualize FAQs

What is Discovery Visualize?

Discovery Visualize brings your questions, analysis and visualizations together in one workspace. Ask Discovery about your website's performance or visitor behavior, then explore its response alongside charts and other visual results on the workspace.

Use Visualize to spot trends, compare visitor groups and decide what to investigate next. You can start with your own question or choose a Quick Action for a guided starting point.

Discovery Visualize has two main areas. Discovery chat contains your questions, written findings and follow-up conversations. The Discovery Visualize workspace holds visualizations you can explore alongside those findings. Drag the divider between them to adjust how much space each area uses.

How do I access Discovery Visualize?

  1. In Lucky Orange, choose the website you want to analyze using the site selector at the top of the app.
  2. Select Visualize in the left navigation.
  3. Use the Discovery chat panel to ask a question. The workspace displays visual results as Discovery creates them.

If you're using the Discovery chat console in another area of Lucky Orange, you may also see a link to content that you can view on Discovery Visualize. That content will have the Focus Mode icon at the end of the link.

When you click the link, it will take you back into Discovery Visualize, and the workspace will be focused on the card related to the link you clicked.

How do I get Discovery Visualize to generate charts and graphics?

Enter a question in the Ask me what I can discover for you field, then click the send arrow. Describe what you want to understand and include a time period when it matters.

For example:

Can you give me a quick summary of how my site performed this week compared to last week?

Discovery shows a progress message while it works. When the response is ready, review the written analysis and any visualizations added to the canvas. A performance summary may include a session trend, breakdowns by device or traffic source and a ranked list.

The results depend on your question and the data available for the selected website. Different questions can produce different combinations of text, visualizations and links.

If you're not sure what to ask Discovery, select one of the Quick Actions. These provide ready-made starting points when you don't want to write a prompt from scratch. Choose a Quick Action or open the Quick Actions library using the shapes icon below the message field.

Available actions include:

  • Summaries: Performance Summary, Frustration Summary, Engagement Summary and AI Traffic Summary.
  • Conversion and bounce analysis: Conversion Changes, Conversion Blockers and Bounced Session Analysis.
  • Heatmaps: Analyze A Heatmap and Launch Heatmap.
  • Page audits: Page Structure Audit, Page Speed Audit, Broken Link Audit, CTA Audit and Mobile UX Audit.

Discovery Visualize FAQs

I tried to move the cards on the workspace, but nothing happened. What do I do?

If you want to move the all cards on the workspace, make sure you've selected the hand icon. If you want to rearrange individual cards, be sure you're in the custom layout mode.

I only want to download one card on the workspace. How do I do that?

Select the camera icon on the workspace controls near the bottom of the screen. The screenshot tool functions similar to a snipping tool and will allow you to select a single card or any area of the workspace you want to capture.

I want to go through the Discovery Visualize tour again. How do I go back to the tour?

You can access the Discovery Visualize tour at time by clicking the life raft in the upper right corner. In the drop down menu, select the Reset Visualize Tour option.
