Why Lucky Orange shows no visitors on my site?
If your Lucky Orange embedded app is connected and still showing no visitor data for your store, it's likely related to Shopify's Customer Privacy requirements and whether a cookie banner is active on your site.
Why does it say my site has "no visitors"?
With updates to Shopify's Privacy API, visitors now need to actively consent to data collection before Lucky Orange can automatically track them. If a visitor hasn't given that consent, Lucky Orange won't be able to show any data for them — unless a Cookie Banner with regions and content identified through the Shopify Cookie Banner setting is in place to collect that consent.
Why do I need a Cookie Banner?
A Cookie Banner gives visitors the choice to accept or decline tracking. If they accept, Lucky Orange will track their activity as usual. If they decline, we won't be able to collect any data for that visitor. The banner needs to integrate with Shopify's Customer Privacy API for this to work correctly — here's a link to Shopify's Banner apps page if you don't already have one set up.
How do I check or update my Customer Privacy settings in Shopify?
- From your Shopify Admin, select Settings from the left navigation (at the very bottom).
- Click Customer Privacy from the list on the left.
- Select the Cookie Banner tab.
From there, you can activate the banner, customize its appearance, and set its position on your site.

What if I'm already using a third-party cookie banner app instead of Shopify's native one?
If your store uses a third-party banner app (rather than Shopify's built-in one), the steps above won't show you where that banner's settings live. You'll need to check with that app's provider directly to confirm it's properly integrated with Shopify's Customer Privacy API — if it isn't, Lucky Orange still won't be able to collect visitor data even though a banner is present on your site.
