Ask Discovery to launch a Dynamic Heatmap - 3/31/26

Discovery can now provide a link directly to a heatmap when a user asks for a heatmap of a specific URL. Discovery will also provide a links for the heatmaps for the top five pages with the most engagement. A Suggested Action button has also been added to access this function quickly.


Visit Value update for Shopify - 3/31/26

Released an update to show the Shopify ordered total in the Visit Value column for Session Recordings. This displays for Shopify users who haven't set a different Primary Conversion Event.


Shopify Plus heatmaps update - 3/17/26

New improvements have been released to enhance the performance of Dynamic Heatmaps for Shopify Plus users including heatmaps of checkout pages. We now handle Shopify checkout URLs end-to-end to ensure they are accurately reflecting what is happening during the checkout


Session Recording playback enhancements - 3/12/26

Released multiple enhancements to improve Session Recording playback including:

  • Reduced flickers or visual glitches in recording playback
  • Improved rendering of custom elements
  • Improved Shadow DOM and Web Component compatibility

NEW: Let Discovery AI analyze your heatmap data - 3/6/26

Discovery can now give you a text-based summary of your heatmap data for a specific page.  In the Discovery chat window, you can provide the URL of a page and ask Discovery to analyze the heatmap for that page. Alternatively, when you're in Analytics > Heatmaps, you'll see an Analyze button next to each of your most engaged pages. Clicking that button will summarize the heatmap data for that page for you.

Shopify Session Recordings update - 2/27/26

Resolved an issue for Shopify Plus checkout recordings and other Shopify recordings that displayed broken CSS. Sessions tracked after this date will now properly display the site in Session Recordings playback.

NEW: Lucky Orange Chrome Extension - 2/23/26

Use the new Lucky Orange extension on the Chrome Web Store to quickly launch a heatmap of the page you're viewing on your website. The extension will also verify that your Lucky Orange tracking code is properly installed and tracking visitors. To learn more, read our help document about using the Lucky Orange Chrome extension.

NEW: Automatic Key Events - 01/21/26

The Key Events column in the list of Session Recordings in the Visitors section will now automatically show rage events and form submitted key events if they occured during a visitor's session. Shopify merchants will also see the ordered, cart item added and checkout started events in they Key Events column.

Surveys and Heatmaps update - 01/15/26

  • Fixed a bug where rating Surveys weren't showing the survey rating when a visitor left extra feedback. Ratings now display for these survey respondents.
  • Fixed a bug where form submitted events weren't passing through. Form Analytics reports that weren't displaying this data should now see it reflected for conversions and form abandonment.

Heatmaps update - 01/12/26

Fixed a bug where an unnecessary session recording was generated when a user viewed a heatmap of their website.
