Adding Sites, Managing Team Members, and Your Personal Info in Shopify Admin
This doc covers three related account management tasks: adding sites to your Lucky Orange account, managing the team members who have access to it, and updating your own personal info.
Adding sites
How do I add a site to my Lucky Orange account?
- From your Shopify Admin, find Apps in the left navigation and click Lucky Orange.
- In the expanded menu, click Plan Pricing.
- Under Customize Plan, adjust the Sites field to the number of sites you'd like to track.
- Click Save.
- Then navigate to the site(s) you want to add Lucky Orange to and install Lucky Orange on those sites.
Keep in mind: every site you track contributes to your monthly session limit, so adding sites may affect which plan tier fits your needs.
Where to access team settings
How do I get to team member settings?
- From your Shopify Admin, find Apps in the left navigation and click Lucky Orange.
- In the expanded menu, click Settings.
You'll land on the Members section at the top of the Settings page.
Managing members
What will I see in the Members section?
A table of everyone with access to your account, showing:
- Name — the member's name
- Teams — which team(s) they belong to
- Access — their role (Admin, Creator, Member, or Owner)
- View Details — opens more information about that member
How do I invite a new member?
Click Add Member in the top-left of the Members section. In the Invite A New Member window:
- Enter the member's Name and Email.
- Choose which site(s) to add them to, and which team(s) they're part of.
- Assign a role:
- Admin — access to all areas of the app, including account settings, site settings, billing, and team management. Admins cannot adjust the Owner's permissions.
- Creator — member-level permissions, plus the ability to create surveys, announcements, chat invites, and funnels. Cannot access chat settings/logs or site settings.
- Member — the default level for most users. Access to most major features, but cannot create or access site settings.
- Click Send Invite.
- Each new team member that is added will get an email to complete their registration.
Note: Owner is a separate role shown in the Members table, but it isn't one you assign when inviting someone — it belongs to whoever initially created the account and handles the billing.
Managing teams
What are Teams for?
Teams let you group members together — useful for organizing who's responsible for what (e.g. a Support team, a Marketing team).
How do I create a new team?
- In the Teams section (just below Members), click Add Team.
- In the New Team window, give your team a name.
- Optionally, toggle Public Facing on or off.
- Add one or more Team Leader(s) and any additional Team Member(s).
- Click Done.
How do I view or manage an existing team?
In the Teams list, click See Details next to any team to view or manage its members.
Managing your personal info
How do I update my own profile?
Scroll to the Personal Info section at the bottom of the Settings page. From here you can update:
- Profile Image — click Update next to your avatar to change it.
- Customer Facing Name — the name displayed to others, for example what will others will see why using chat.
- Title — your role or title.
- Email — marked Internal Only, meaning it's used for internal account purposes and isn't visitor-facing.
You must click save in the top banner once the changes have been made.
