How do my visitors opt-out of being tracked?

There are several ways to provide your visitors and customers with the ability to opt out of being tracked:

• Add an opt-out button directly on your site

Utilize the Data Privacy Management Tool

This is a convenient online tool that allows visitors to your website to do more than opt out of tracking. We recommend it to put data privacy management in the hands of your visitors by providing them with the transparency of what data Lucky Orange collected for a specific  visitor. With this self-serve tool, visitors can see:  

• What data was collected about them, including sessions, conversations and surveys
• Manage that data 
• Opt out of future tracking

Add an opt-out button directly on your site

In addition to the Data Privacy Management tool, you can programmatically opt a visitor out of tracking by setting a first-party cookie in the visitor’s browser that will prevent them from being tracked again unless they clear their cookies. Note: This only impacts your website. The visitor will continue to be tracked on other websites that use Lucky Orange.

When adding an opt-out button to allow your visitors to opt out of being tracked, code will need to be placed.
