Here are some commonly asked questions about our plans and billing options.
If I’m on monthly billing, when will my account be charged?
Your billing cycle starts on the day of your first upgrade and lasts for 30 days. Your card will be charged on the first day of your billing cycle.
If I’m on annual billing, when will my account be charged?
Your billing cycle starts on the day of your first upgrade and lasts for 365 days. Your card will be charged on the first day of your billing cycle.
Do I receive a discount if I choose annual billing?
Yes. If you choose annual billing, you will receive 20 percent off the base price of your plan.
Can I add additional sites to my plan?
Yes. Additional sites can be purchased for $5 per site per month. All sites on your plan will share the sessions associated with your plan. For example, let’s say you are on the Expand plan with 45,000 monthly sessions and you have three sites. Traffic from each of those sites count toward your total plan allocation of 45,000 monthly sessions. Here’s a possible breakdown of traffic across your three sites:
- Site A: Gets about 5,000 sessions each month
- Site B: Gets about 15,000 sessions each month
- Site C: Gets about 20,000 sessions each month
If you’re on the Expand plan (45,000 sessions) and have this scenario, you would be within your sessions allocation at the end of your billing cycle because your total traffic only amounted to 40,000 sessions.
Do you offer extended data storage?
By default, Lucky Orange offers a base data storage duration based on your plan:
- Free: 30 days
- Launched (Shopify only plan): 30 days
- Build: 60 days
- Grow: 60 days
- Expand: 60 days
- Scale: 60 days
Free plans are the only plan that can’t extend their data storage. If you’re on a free plan and wish to utilize longer data storage, you’ll need to upgrade your plan.

What is a session?
A session is a unique user’s journey on your website. During this session, the user (which can be a visitor or customer) can browse through your web pages and engage with elements such as links, forms and images.
A session ends when the user:
- Closes their browser
- Navigates away from the website
- Remains inactive on the website for 15 minutes
- Clears their cache
What happens if I exceed my monthly session allocation?
As your account nears the session limit, account operators will receive email notifications from Lucky Orange that you're approaching the plan limit. Once you’ve hit your 30-day session limit, you will stop tracking visitors and will be unable to display surveys and announcements or use live chat.
You can add additional sessions by upgrading to the next available plan so you can resume tracking and engaging with visitors.
If you’ve enabled our Keep Me Tracking feature (found under Settings > Plan & Billing > Keep Me Tracking), your plan will automatically be upgraded to the next plan and you will continue to track visitors.
If you do nothing after you’ve hit your session limit, your plan will reset on the first day of your next billing cycle and you’ll begin tracking visitors again.
Are prices different for customers on Lucky Orange Classic?
Yes. Customers on Lucky Orange Classic have different pricing tiers. Within the Lucky Orange Classic Dashboard:
