Accessing Heatmaps in your Shopify Admin

Lucky Orange's Heatmaps live right inside your Shopify Admin, so you don't need to leave Shopify to view or launch one.

How do I get to Heatmaps?

1. From your Shopify Admin, find Apps in the left navigation and click Lucky Orange.
2. In the expanded menu, click Heatmaps.

What will I see on the Heatmaps page?

You'll land on Most Visited Pages — a ranked list of your site's pages by pageviews, most-visited first. Each row shows the page name and its pageview count for the selected time period. In the top-right, you'll also find a Search Pages field next to the date range button, letting you quickly find a specific page by name instead of scrolling the list.

How do I change the time period?

Click the date range button (labeled Today by default, next to the Most Visited Pages heading) to choose a different range. Available options are:

• Today
• Yesterday
• Last 24 hours
• Last 7 days
• Last 30 days (All)
• Last 60 days
• Last 90 days
• Last 180 days
• Last Year
• This month
• Last month
• This week
• Last week
• Custom

How do I launch a heatmap for a specific page?

Click the Launch Heatmap button on the right side of any page's row. This opens the heatmap for that page directly.

What if I don't see the page I'm looking for in the list?

You have two options:

• Use the Search Pages field at the top of the page to search by page name.
• Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you'll find a box that reads "Not seeing the page you're looking for? Enter your page URL to launch a heatmap." Type or paste the page's full URL into the field and click Launch Heatmap to open a heatmap for that page directly.

You can also use the Online Store Pages link in the footer to browse and launch a heatmap from your full list of site pages.

Launching a heatmap from elsewhere in Shopify Admin

You're not limited to the Lucky Orange Heatmaps page — you can launch a heatmap directly from several other places in your Shopify Admin, without leaving the item you're viewing.

Where can I do this? From the More actions menu on any of the following:

• Products
• Product variants
• Collections
• Pages
• Blogs
• Articles

How does it work?

1. Open any item from the list above in your Shopify Admin.
2. Click More actions.
3. Click Launch Heatmap.

This opens the heatmap for that item's public storefront URL — so you can jump straight from, say, a product page in your admin to seeing exactly how visitors interact with it.
